That's what I hear from dumb adults who try to get kids to stop from drinking soda.
They probably really mean sugar but they blame the caffeine instead.
either way I'm never affected by either

the stuff in energy drinks messes me up if I have too much. like drinking three Monsters in a row.

There's usually a warning on it not to drink more than three or four in a row. Monster and Red Bull are banned in some Middle Eastern countries because of it.
